FAQ

Common questions.

What photos are needed for a property preservation work order?

Requirements vary by client and work order type, but most orders need before, during and after photos that show the work was done, plus clear photos of the property and its address. Use this checklist as a starting point and always follow the work order and your client's guidelines.

What photos are required for an initial secure?

Most clients expect the front, sides and back of the property before and after, every door and window as found and secured, the lock or lockbox, the contractor posting, locks on outbuildings, and interior rooms if the order allows entry. Some clients also require a property sign-in sheet photo. Check your work order for yours.

Do photos need a date stamp?

Many clients require date-stamped photos, and they also expect before, during and after photos taken from the same angle. Check your client guidelines.

Why do property preservation work orders get rejected?

Most often because the photos do not support the work that was done, or because before, during or after photos are missing.

Do I need photos during the work, not only before and after?

Many work order types benefit from during photos, such as work in progress, measurements or lock changes. Check your work order for what your client requires.

How are the photos reviewed?

Reviewers check each photo carefully to see whether it is clear, shows the right property and supports the work. They also check whether any required photos are missing.

Is this checklist official?

No. It is a starter checklist built from common industry practice. Your client's, national's and work order instructions always take priority.

Is it free, and is my information saved?
